Message I found it in the autotrader (online)

I had been looking on and off since it came out. I almost bought a new one in 1993 but I passed on it. I was worried about insurance costs and what not. Same deal in 1999, then again in 2002. In 2003/2004 I started actively looking again but I just couldn't find a clean, unmolested Z with low miles that wasn't hacked up and that had a mature owner. The other thing that happened was that several times I didn't pull the trigger fast enough and I lost the Z to quicker buyer (I think that happened at least four times) but I finally found what I wanted in 2005.

It was about 100 miles away.

The test drive was pretty cool. I bought it from the original owner, the only foul up I had was that I had forgotten about the button to push to take the key out, I felt like a tool bag.

My first drive from the owner's house to back home was amazing, thrilling and a blast. Even a 38 year old guy that had driven much faster cars, much more expensive cars (had purchased faster more expensive cars) could still get a thrill. I kept looking around the cabin at different things and noticing how well it had been kept, it was in great condition.

I bought the car from the original owner, it had 44k miles on it. I still remember the very first Z32 I ever saw, it was silver. I saw in the fall of 1989, almost right after I had just read a glowing review from Car & Driver. I was still in college and I was simply awe struck and I KNEW I would own one some day. I also used to see an Aztec Red Z32 almost every day I walked to college. It was owned by a doctor, I know because his plate read HRT SRGN. :)

Anyway, I made it a goal to ultimately get one but it had to be in excellent condition, had to be a 5-speed, original interior (no mods) and it had to have t-tops. I didn't care about the exterior color, I like every color it came in.
